Hi people today I write again, today I write on “acceptance 4u in God”. To start of with I would like to tell you what was it that separated man from God, if you said “sin” then that is right but to be clear, it was the sin of disobedience, allow me quote from Genesis.

Genesis 2:8-9, 15-17; 3:1-6, 23

8 Then the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the East, and there he put the man he had formed. 9 He made all kinds of beautiful trees grow there and produce good fruit. In the middle of the garden stood the tree that gives life and the tree that gives knowledge of what is good and what is bad.

….

15 Then the Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to cultivate it and guard it. 16 He said to him, “You may eat the fruit of any tree in the garden, 17 except the tree that gives knowledge of what is good and what is bad

You must not eat the fruit of that tree; if you do, you will die the same day.”

….

1 Now the snake was the most cunning animal that the Lord God had made. The snake asked the woman, “Did God really tell you not to eat fruit from any tree in the garden?”

2 “We may eat the fruit of any tree in the garden,” the woman answered, 3 “except the tree in the middle of it. God told us not to eat the fruit of that tree or even touch it; if we do, we will die.”

4 The snake replied, “That’s not true; you will not die. 5 God said that, because he knows that when you eat it you will be like God and know what is good and what is bad.”

6 The woman saw how beautiful the tree was and how good its fruit would be to eat, and she thought how wonderful it would be to become wise. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, and he also ate it.

23 So the Lord God sent him out of the Garden of Eden and made him cultivate the soil from which he had been formed.

The above is the story of the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, this is their story of how they lost out on life, getting separated from God through an act of disobedience & since then every generation from Adam & Eve have this inherent sin, the sin of disobedience.  This is what makes even innocent children as small as they may be bound to sin. A friend of mine puts it like this: It is not an act of sin that makes you a sinner but that you sin because you already are sinner. I am sure it is no news to you that children disobey without even being taught to disobey, this my friend was the sin inherited  from Adam and Eve that got them separated from God, leading to spiritual death.

A person who is spiritually dead is he who is blind to the Salvation in Jesus; No person will ever admit that he is dead in sin, who ever he may be. It is something like madness, just as a mad man never admits/knows that he is mad, a spiritually dead man never knows/admits he is dead. I am not sure if you know this but the God of the Bible is Jealous God and to Him, His people ought to put nothing or no one before Him. This nature was exhibited in Jesus, allow me quote Matthew 8:21-22.

Matthew 8:21-22

21 Another man, who was a disciple, said, “Sir, first let me go back and bury my father.”

22 “Follow me,” Jesus answered, “and let the dead bury their own dead.”

From the above scripture you can conclude that it is in Jesus that there is Spiritual Life and a man will not realize this unless He has accepted Jesus as His Lord and Savior. The Bible very clearly says that it was through the disobedience of Adam that mankind went into sin but it was through the obedience to the point of death of Jesus, who was as much man as He was God, that mankind found life.

Romans 5:17

17 It is true that through the sin of one man death began to rule because of that one man. But how much greater is the result of what was done by the one man, Jesus Christ! All who receive God’s abundant grace and are freely put right with him will rule in life through Christ.

In case you are asking: “why is it that I need to accept the sacrifice of Jesus for my sin that I may have life?”, the answer is because there is no other solution; you cannot inflict yourself for punishment because you have not sinned against yourself but against God. Consider this, if a person were to commit a crime then would he, by beating himself or fasting or praying or being charitable, absolve himself of his crime? The Law will punish him no matter what he does & it is similar with God, there is nothing you can do for yourself about your sin other than accept your punishment but as indicated earlier the punishment for the inherent sin of disobedience is death (Romans 6:23) and it cannot get any worse. Your punishment is your end. The world has been lead to believe in going to heaven based on the amount of good and bad that you have done but if that were ever a case then that would be reflective of a god who is incapable of wiping out sin & the people who were heaven bound would not sinless meaning they still have scope to sin in heaven & then heaven would not be heaven. No sane person will say he will pay the price of his sin and go to heaven because had man ever been able to pay the price of sin then Adam and Eve would have done just that and remained with God & so also would every coming generation. If ever man by himself had a solution for sin, may be through works or an animal sacrifice then God being a good God would have let Adam and Eve take that action right there and then, being a Good God He would never have sent man into the world just so that He may be glorified through the Apostles, patriarchs & prophets at the cost of billions of lives falling prey to starvation, war, sickness, wild animal and other calamities.

Romans 6:23

For sin pays its wage — death; but God’s free gift is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord.

The idea of Jesus dying on the cross is that of Him being our substitute for the wages of your sin, which is death. As the you may have derived till now, only God can get rid of sin. The sacrifice of Jesus speaks of a God who is JUST as well as LOVING, His justice meant that sin receive it wages-death & His love made Him pay that price to save man. You may not think of your self as a sinner but know this, no matter how good you are, from birth you carry within you the inherited sin of disobedience from your great great great great … grand parents  Adam and Eve. The Bible says that it is sin that separates man from God (Isaiah 59:2) & it is this separation that Jesus took upon Himself that when He was dying on the cross He cried “My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me” (Matthew 27:46). Our rejection is what Jesus took upon Himself on that cross (Isaiah 53:4-5). On that cross He stood rejected that we may be accepted, as He bore the wages of our sin.

Isaiah 59:2

2 It’s your sins that have cut you off from God.

Matthew 27:46

46 At about three o’clock Jesus cried out with a loud shout, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why did you abandon me?”

Isaiah 53:4-5

4 “But he endured the suffering that should have been ours,

the pain that we should have borne.

…..

5 But because of our sins he was wounded,

beaten because of the evil we did.

We are healed by the punishment he suffered,

made whole by the blows he received.

Jesus’ call is not a call for you to change your name but rather just your life. He is the act of the love God showed the world that they may believe in Him and have eternal life.

John 3:16

16 For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life.

So don’t stop here my friend say a prayer, your own prayer to Jesus and leave it to Him to rescue you. May God gift you this Christmas with New Life and call you become His people, a joy which neither the world nor Satan can snatch (John 10:25,27-30), for your prayer of acceptance of Jesus as your Lord and Savior, will place you in the hands of God.

John 10:25,27-30

25 Jesus answered, “…. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never die. No one can snatch them away from me. 29 What my Father has given me is greater than everything, and no one can snatch them away from the Father’s care. 30 The Father and I are one.”
